CARBO is a producer and supplier of ceramic proppants, which are spherical pellets used during hydraulic fracturing to increase productivity of oil and gas wells. CARBO and its predecessor companies have been manufacturing ceramic proppants since 1978. The company operates six manufacturing plants in the U.S., China and Russia. CARBO also provides fracture simulation software – FracproPT – and consulting services through StrataGen Engineering.
