Freedom Oil and Gas (formerly Maverick Drilling and Exploration Limited) is an Australia-based company. The Company is engaged in the operations of oil and gas leases on the Blue Ridge Dome, Boling Dome and Nash Dome, Texas; low cost development of oil and gas leases, and shallow to mid-range onshore contract oil and gas drilling in the Gulf Coast region of the United States. In addition, it is also involved in the identification and internal development of new oil prospects. The Company operates in two segments: operator of oil leases and contract oil and gas driller. As of June 30, 2012, it drilled 33 new wells on Blue Ridge Dome, three new wells on Boling Dome and two new wells on Nash Dome. The Company?s subsidiaries include Maverick Drilling & Exploration USA, Inc., Maverick Drilling Company, Maverick Production Company, Inc., Maverick Rig Manufacturing, Inc. and Maverick Drilling Services Pty Ltd. During the year ended June 30, 20102, the Compay disposed of its 455 net acre interest in the Foothold Prospect.
