Its subsidiaries operate in organized retail sector include Spencer?s Retail Limited, which operates 164 stores under Spencer?s label, including 26 hypermarket; Music World Retail Limited, catering music and movies with 39 stores across India under Music World, and Au Bon Pain Cafe India Limited, catering to the retail coffee and fast food segment. In May 2012, it acquired Pachi Hydro Power Projects Limited and Papu Hydropower Projects Limited.

We considered many names for our site—in fact we spent our first year and a half under a different name—EkoHub. We liked “Eko” — coming from the Greek word Oikos, related to economy, ecology, and “home” or social concerns. From the beginning, we believed the word “Hub” reflected our desire to be at the center of the sustainability area, providing knowledge, harmony, and consensus among the hundreds of experts judging the ESG performance of companies.
