The Channels segment operates 32 international BBC-branded television (TV) channels that offer factual, entertainment, children's, and lifestyle programming; broadcasts programs made by the company and other independent providers; and manages the iPlayer video-on-demand service. Its international channel portfolio serves 356 million homes. The Sales and Distribution segment engages in the sale and syndication of the content across TV and video-on-demand. The Consumer Products segment engages in the production and distribution of TV entertainment packaged media, including DVDs, DTO, music, and books. It publishes and sells DVD content; distributes content for independent producers and broadcasters; produces specially commissioned content; develops video content through digital platforms; and licenses TV programs that span children's, entertainment, sport, lifestyle, drama, and natural history.
