POSCO CHEMTECH COMPANY LTD is a Korea-based company principally engaged in the manufacture of construction materials. The Company operates in four business divisions: refractory division, which provides magnesia-chrome (MgO-C) bricks, spinel bricks, high alumina bricks, special alumina bricks, fire clay bricks and others; engineering division, which provides engineering and maintenance services for industrial furnaces; lime division, which manufactures lime used for steel manufacturing processes, and chemical division, which provides coal tars, light oils, sulfurs and others used for rechargeable battery negative pole. The Company distributes its products within domestic market and to overseas markets. It also involves in the provision of precipitated calcium carbonates. On January 1, 2013, it completed the merger with POSCALCIUM Company, Ltd., a Korea-based manufacturer of precipitated calcium carbonate.
