Florida AIDS Walk and Music Festival presented by AHF Pharmacy and Wells Fargo, is set to take place on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Fort Lauderdale’s South Beach Park. Annually the event raises over $1.5 million dollars to support locally based HIV/AIDS service organizations.
Federal and State lawsuits filed by AHF legal counsel earlier today, cite Defective Procedures in the City’s review of an application submitted by AHF for the development of a building with 500 units of affordable housing, and city officials’ clear violation of the Fair Housing Act and Americans with Disabilities Act through discriminatory actions by the City in denying the application based on the city’s assumption that the building was being built for those living with HIV/AIDS, though never stated in AHF’s submitted application.
13th Annual Florida AIDS Walk & Music Festival on Sunday, March 18th, will benefit 10 non-profits that provide HIV/AIDS services to South Florida is set to raise over $1.7 million toward the fight against HIV/AIDS. Festival will include award-winning artist Flo Rida as well as students from Stoneman Douglas High School. Last year’s Walk raised over $1.5 million.

Miami concert on Friday, December 1st at the
Bayfront Park Amphitheater will be co-hosted by Puerto Rican Comedian
Aida Rodriquez.
San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz will
appear to give an update on Puerto Rico and will receive AHF’s 2017
Humanitarian Award for her courage and leadership following Hurricanes
Irma and Maria. During the concert, AHF will also launch the next
phase of its Power 2 Puerto Rico fundraising campaign for ongoing relief
efforts.
AHF World AIDS Day concerts to also take
place in Los Angeles, Mexico City and Haiti.
