Crane Group is an Australia-based building and industrial products company. Established in 1867, the group operates three distinct divisions. The Pipelines division is a manufacturer and distributor of plastic pipeline systems in Australia and New Zealand, the trade distribution division, Tradelink, operates 220 plumbing supplies and associated product outlets across Australia, and the industrial products division sources and distributes copper, copper alloy, aluminium and stainless steel products to a range of customers in the manufacturing industry. We considered many names for our site—in fact we spent our first year and a half under a different name—EkoHub. We liked “Eko” — coming from the Greek word Oikos, related to economy, ecology, and “home” or social concerns. From the beginning, we believed the word “Hub” reflected our desire to be at the center of the sustainability area, providing knowledge, harmony, and consensus among the hundreds of experts judging the ESG performance of companies.
