Northwest Natural Gas Company

NW Natural purchases natural gas from suppliers in the western U.S. and Canada and distributes it to residential, commercial, and industrial customers throughout its service territory. The company builds, maintains and operates the local natural gas distribution system, including pipelines and related equipment that transport natural gas to homes and businesses. NW Natural’s core business is the distribution and sale of natural gas. Another segment, Gas Storage, represents natural gas storage services provided to interstate customers, including asset optimization services under a contract with an independent energy trading company.
