Through its annual Global CSR Program, approximately 20,000 employees worldwide cast their votes, selecting City Cancer Challenge, Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi), SeriousFun Children’s Network, UNICEF, and the UN Foundation as 2019 partners.
With these programs, Takeda's contributions through its unique Global CSR Program total 10.5 billion yen for a total of 14 programs since its 2016 launch.
In 2017, American Apparel launched a capsule collection of hoodies, t-shirts and bags in collaboration with Pencils of Promise (POP) to provide support for teachers and fund the construction of new schools in Guatemala, Ghana and Laos, contributing U.S. $220,000. POP is a US-based not-for-profit organization that works to increase access to education and raise global awareness of child illiteracy as there are 250 million children worldwide who lack basic reading, writing and math skills.
The Pelé Foundation will partner with Pencils of Promise and
charity: water to fund critical needs in poverty and education for
children around the world.
