Chesapeake Utilities Corporation consists of four primary business segments: Natural gas distribution, transmission and marketing; propane distribution and wholesale marketing; advanced information systems; and other services. In total, Chesapeake employs approximately 448 people. Chesapeake’s core business is natural gas distribution and transmission. Chesapeake serves approximately 65,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers in high growth areas of Delaware, Maryland and Florida. The Company’s Delaware and Maryland natural gas distribution operation is known as “Chesapeake Utilities,” and its Florida natural gas distribution operation is known as “Central Florida Gas.”
