Tüpras is a Turkish operator of four oil refineries with a total of 28.1 million tons annual crude oil processing capacity. In addition, the company maintains a 50,000 ton capacity petrochemical production facility, a majority stake in the shipping company DITAS and a 40% share ownership of petrol retailer Opet. The roots of Tüpras go back to IPRAS (Istanbul Petrol Rafinerisi A.S.) founded by the U.S. Caltex Company.
