PT Bumi Resources Tbk is an Indonesian company engaged in coal mining and the exploration of oil and gas. The company’s business units include Kaltim Prima Coal, Arutmin Indonesia, Gallo Oil and Enercorp Ltd. PT Bumi accounted for approximately a third of Indonesia’s total coal production in 2005 and reported gross production of 44.9 million tons. To support its sales, the Company uses international marketing agents including Mitsubishi for the Japan market and Glencore for non-Japan markets, and BHP Billiton for the overall international market.
