Manila Electric Company (Meralco) is a provider of electric power to a franchise in the Philippines serving approximately 4.6 million customers in 29 cities and 82 municipalities. Business establishments in the franchise produced almost 50 percent of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP), with around 32 percent produced in Metro Manila. The company has 30 business centers and 10 sector offices in the central, north and south areas of the franchise.
