El Paso Electric generates and distributes electricity through an interconnected system to approximately 363,000 customers in the Rio Grande Valley in west Texas and southern New Mexico. The company operates four power plants and is additionally supplied by a nuclear plant, known as Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, in which EPE holds 15.8 percent interest.
