Digi International was founded in 1985 as DigiBoard. The company went public as Digi International in 1989. Digi employs more than 500 people worldwide and is headquartered in Minnetonka, Minnesota. The company’s Drop-in Networking initiative provides end-to-end wireless access to electronic devices in places where wires will not work or cannot be used. Applications include energy management, building control, manufacturing, and supply chain management, among others. Digi sells and markets it products through 180 distributors in more than 65 countries.
